5 Crucial Reminders That Are Holding Back Your Dreams!

The other day, I had an extremely interesting encounter with a bunch of strangers, as a traveler strangers become our partners to confide in or rather start just have that unexpected conversation that will lead to each of them to open up and say something that has been eating them up slowly, I started off by saying I was not sure where I am headed in life, one guy jumped in and say; I do not know what my next job will be, at least you have some stability, one of them laughed really hard swallowed a shot of vodka bitterly and said, work has been very stressful and he wasn't handling it well, just when I thought I was done; another one jumped in and said ooh I always wanna go back to study but I feel too old for that kind of thing....

So later when I left that place and got back to my room my thoughts started processing the conversation and I realized none of us had said anything positive about themselves. All we did was feed our subconscious mind with our negativity and because that is what the mind will process in sleep, we shall wake up feeling the same without a dime of change in our "pathetic" life as we would like to believe. I could not fathom why we are so quick to brag about our failures, not our success; I mean we all had something beautiful to say about our lives but we chose only the failing part of it.

The American motivational speaker Denis Waitley said: “Your attitude is either the lock on or the key to the door of success.” Your attitude serves as the barometer of success. Whilst motivation, determination, and courage are admirable qualities, without the right attitude they are an ember without a flame to light the way. Attitude is a temperament that helps you conquer your emotional self. Your EQ (Emotional Intelligence) is the measurement of your capacity to endure adverse conditions.

The right attitude leads to empowering emotions essential for success. Your thoughts and beliefs are the engines that breed the right attitude.“Keeping one’s attitude positive, especially when the world conspires to make us mad, is one of the great accomplishments of life,” explains Brendon Burchard in The Motivation Manifesto.

Life is fickle and uncompromising. Yet interspersed throughout these moments are the tiny treasures reminding us that the struggle is also the culmination of healthy ideals leading to success. We must temper our attitude and master our inner growth, not for what it brings to our lives, but because of who we become when success shows up. Jeff Olson says in The Slight Edge: “Showing up consistently with a good attitude for a short period of time isn’t going to cut it. You’ve got to show up consistently with the good attitude, being patient and persistent for a long time to create lasting change.”

Here are 5 Attitude that is snatching your success away like a lightning on a stormy day! Master them and work through stepping out of this "attitudes" and see how you will go to the furthest corner of this universe without any obstacles:

1. Looking for Others for Approval: Once we recognize that we are responsible for our lives and no matter what someone else thinks, it’s still our life. Taking action and having faith in your own decisions will help us when naysayers come. As long as you are worried about what others think of you, you are owned by them. Only when you require no approval from outside yourself can you own yourself. If you’re being true to yourself and it isn’t enough for the people around you, change the people around you. Eckhart Toller reminds us of the same "Stop looking outside for scraps of pleasure or fulfillment, for validation, security, or love – you have a treasure within that is infinitely greater than anything the world can offer.”

2. Fear: All those accumulated doubts can easily transform into fears. That feeling of uncertainty eventually makes you be afraid of taking the first step. Fear is what paralyzes you and stops you from acting. The only remedy that cures your fears is action. Only via confident action you can enter your area of discomfort and expand your comfort zone. Every time you postpone the meeting with your fears, you automatically postpone the realization of your dreams. Having made the first step towards vanquishment of your fears, you are already halfway towards your goal.

3. Waiting For The Right Time: Oftentimes we are waiting for the ever-elusive “right time.” There is never really a right moment. The best time may seem cliché but it really is RIGHT NOW. Waiting for the right moment can be disguised as procrastination. Bradley Whitford said  "Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen... yourself, right now, right down here on Earth."

4. Distraction: Definitely one of the worst enemies of young entrepreneurs and beginners of different spheres. Staying focused and dedicated is crucial while working on the project. Every single accomplishment is about attention and commitment. Every time you switch attention to another object, your concentration vanishes. You lose ideas and thoughts that have been circulating in your head for the last few minutes. Then it takes some precious time to restore your focus completely and get down to work again. It merely kills your productivity and makes your performance suck. ― Winston S. Churchill once said, “You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks.”

5. Doubts: When you think too much, you usually end up with a huge bunch of doubts, that often make you change your mind. All that fail statistics, your friends’ tales and even bad weather forecast easily become an origin of uncertainty. As Marianne Williams said, “our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate…our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” Does this speak to your heart and soul? You are the only person in the universe who can control yourself, and who can ultimately shape your life. LET GO OFF THOSE DOUBTS!

In the book "Exploring Celtic Spirituality, Ray Simpsons said “Frequently we do not leave the past behind. We clasp on to it. We dissect it, and let fears for the future, tempered by the past, unconsciously prevent us from taking up the task eternal.”  When it comes to taking bold steps toward the life you have always dreamed about you should walk down through the aisle of the steps mentioned above and fight for your goals, accomplishment, higher productivity and keep slaying your way through your ladder of success.
